Typically, individual sessions take about 15-20 minutes, depending on the number of locations/backgrounds and any wardrobe, hair or makeup adjustments the person wants to make. Sometimes, the individual is quite comfortable and pleased with the images we are capturing early in the process and the session can be shorter. We can also plan for quicker individual sessions to accommodate your scheduling needs and larger numbers of subjects.
I recommend that headshot subjects wear solid colors that complement their complexion and avoid strong patterns that will draw the viewer’s eye away from their faces. Professional attire that matches the level of formality your firm likes to convey to clients is ideal. Each person can try several different looks and wardrobe options during their headshot session.
After the sessions are completed, I’ll edit a selection of the best images and provide your attorneys with proofs via private online galleries. Once everyone has selected their favorite image, I’ll have them retouched to enhance each person’s presentation while maintaining a natural look.
Your attorneys will receive their edited images within about a week. Once they make their selections, retouching will take another week or two, depending on the total number of images being retouched. Rush services are available if you need your firm headshots on a more accelerated timetable. Each person will look like themselves on their best day.
