Matthew's Bar Mitzvah @
TBJ Short Hills and Crestmont Country Club

I have been photographing Matthew and his family most every year since he was three. When his mom called to book me for his bar mitzvah I️ was touched and thrilled. Over the years I experienced these people as a close, fun family but I️ had no idea what was in store for me during his bar mitzvah weekend.

It was a particular pleasure to be invited to slip into their world to observe and capture so many fantastic, thrilling, heartfelt moments. Parents and little sister exuded palpable pride and adoration throughout the weekend. A grandfather was visibly moved by the transmittal of Jewish tradition from father to son to grandson. The party was one of the most spirited and energetic in recent memory. On a beautiful evening outdoors under a tent, a great many priceless memories were made. The dance floor stayed crowded with great Aunts, uncles, aunts, grandparents cousins and close friends all night and I️ consider myself lucky to have been a small part of it.
